Aloe vera also is squeezed
The firm Jual has its own organic plantation, certified by OIA. In his lab also manufactures cosmetic products of high concentration.
Juliana Vietri owns along Jual with three partners, which produces lines of drinkable juices and cosmetics for skin care, all made with aloe vera extract obtained from its own plantation, which is organic.
"From the beginning we care about getting certification for our organic plantation because, although that it went expensive the processes, it was important to reach a serious product", says Vietri. These principles date back to 2003 when Alejandro Coronel rented a farm in Formosa to grow aloe vera. Jual has the organic certification by Organización Internacional Agropecuaria (OIA).
As the aloe vera has to be processed within 48 hours after harvest to avoid losing their properties, the firm's lab, which opened in 2007, was located in Santa Fe. "We also certified the lab as organic and started to develop gels and extracts to sell to the industry that manufactured cosmetics or food products", says Vietri.
Over time they released their own line of products for the consumer: the aloe vera juice beverage Jual, which currently are available in Natural varieties (99% pure aloe vera), orange and honey flavored (96%) and blueberry (90%). Lately, they developed their own cosmetics line, consisting of a lotion against hair loss, a post-sun gel and moisturizing lotions and gels.
"You can not manufacture aloe vera creams because the input is a liquid and, beyond a ratio of 75%, it is liquefied", says Vietri. "In all our products, juices such as cosmetics, we place the greatest possible proportion of aloe," he adds. Some of the many proven benefits of Barbadensis Miller arehelping the digestive and excretory system in general, reduces the blood sugar of diabetics and swelling caused by arthritis, among others.
Jual products reach the final consumer in the diet, local gourmet and some pharmacies and spas, where wholesalers come through and some drugstores. Also, they are sold online.
