Since 1991 OIA has a certification program for organic productions oriented to the Argentine domestic market and for export to UE countries. The certification program covers primary production, processing and marketing
.
OIA is registered at SENASA (National Agri-food Health & Quality Service - Argentina ), is recognized by the European Union and accredited by IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements). All these accreditations allow OIA to certify the main agricultural and animal productions of our country, and their associated industry (dairy, beef, honey, cereals, oilseeds, vegetables, aromatic herbs, fruits, flours, oils, juices, pulps, wines, processed products, etc) in over 2,000,000 hectares under certification. OIA has agreements with Biosuisse, Soil Association and the Conseil D'Acreditation du Québec (CAQ) to allow its associated certified producers, processors and distributors to access other organic markets like the State of Québec ( Canada ), or to use recognized seals like Biosuisse ( Switzerland ) or Soil Association ( United Kingdom ) .
OIA as an international certification body, certifies organic projects in countries like Argentina (main office), Brazil (branch office) and Nicaragua among others. Also as coordinator of Latin American Certifiers supports the development of new projects all over South America
