Biofach goes digital in 2021

02 Feb 2021

In 2021, the world fair for organic food Biofach will take place from February 17 to 19 in a completely digital format. By making this decision, the event organizer, NürnbergMesse, is responding to the circumstances arising from the pandemic and its effects on the global organic food community.

“The numerous conversations and in-depth dialogue that we have had in recent months and weeks have made one thing clear to us; Within the organic food and natural cosmetics sector, the desire for interaction, networking and knowledge transfer with experts, as well as discovering trends and innovations, remains enormous and constant, especially in these exceptional times. Even in this era of coronavirus, the entire industry is absolutely determined to come together to discuss the latest issues, even if only in the digital sphere, ”said Petra Wolf, a member of the NürnbergMesse board of directors. However, Wolf stressed that “In light of the pandemic and based on our ongoing dialogue with the community and a comprehensive survey of exhibitors and visitors, we are confident that our decision to host a digital event will allow all industry players to plan ahead.” I am very sorry that the physical fair cannot take place, “he stressed, while indicating that making this decision” was extremely difficult for all of us. However, before we meet again in Nuremberg in 2022, Biofach will offer an ideal platform for professional dialogue in 2021. ”Thus, this meeting will offer a wide range of innovative options, such as corporate and product presentations, including the EVOO, discussion and dialogue formats such as roundtables to network with industry experts. In addition, “sophisticated” networking functions that will help stakeholders find the right exhibitors will be another integral part of the special format of Biofach. In turn, this meeting will also offer broad access to knowledge transfer at the Biofach Congress, which has a global scope and whose main theme in 2021 will be “Shaping transformation. Stronger. Together”.

In its 2020 edition, a total of 3,792 exhibitors from 110 countries exhibited their products to more than 50,000 visitors in an exhibition area of 57,609 square meters.
