OIA was present at the largest fair of organic production, in the Argentine Pavilion, along with many companies that rely on it.

BIOFACH and VIVANESS returned to their February slot with an impressive first in-person show after the summer edition in 2022. During the four-day event from February 14-17, 2023, nearly 36 000 trade visitors from 135 countries were present. ‘Strong’ and ‘confident’ describe the start of the year’s international appointments for the organic food and natural and organic personal care sector. The focus was on variety, networking and professional interaction, and the highly topical Congress theme of “Organic. Food Sovereignty. Real prices”. The organic sector and the combined trade fair event proved to be resilient to the crisis, as demonstrated by global market data amounting to 125 billion euros worldwide in 2021 (according to IFOAM/FiBL).

Our country was represented by a 139-square-meter pavilion, which was coordinated by the Argentine Foreign Ministry, through the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency, and the National Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. OIA was present there, together with several Argentine companies that rely on it for certification, such as: BUNKER SPECIALTIES, ECO HOLDING, FENIX, NUTRIN, ORGANIC LATIN AMERICA / GOING NATURAL, ORGANIC SUPPLIERS, PROSAL and WISHBONE. These Argentine companies were able to showcase their organic products to the world.

The event also offered numerous highlights where the major issues of our time, such as climate protection, sustainability and global food security, were also a key theme. Thus all participants emphasized the immense value of personal encounters, but also of in-depth professional discussions, to highlight the solutions offered by the organic system, especially in the current global circumstances.

The next edition of BIOFACH and VIVANESS will take place from February 13-16, 2024 at the Nuremberg exhibition grounds.
