OIA was present at the last edition of Biofach Nuremberg, Germany, which took place from July 26 to 29.

For four days, from July 26 to 29, 2022, all the passion of the international organic community was present in Nuremberg, Germany, where BIOFACH, the world’s leading fair for organic food, and VIVANESS, the international fair for natural personal care and organic, they celebrated their return with a unique “summer edition.” There were 24,000 professional visitors from 137 countries who took the opportunity to carry out personal exchanges and discuss in-depth current issues. In addition, throughout the conference they were able to discover the innovations and trends of a wide range of organic products from 2,276 exhibitors from 94 countries.

Our country was represented by a 139-square-meter pavilion, which was coordinated by the Argentine Foreign Ministry, through the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation. OIA was present there, along with several Argentine companies that trust it for certification, such as: ARGENMIELES, BUNKER SPECIALTIES, ECO HOLDING, NUTRIN SA, ORGANIC LATIN AMERICA / GOING NATURAL, ORGANIC SUPPLIERS SRL, PIETRELLI FRUIT, PROSAL SA, PUENTE BLANCO SA and WISHBONE SRL. These Argentine companies were able to expose their organic productions to the world.

  The event also offered numerous highlights where the great issues of our time, such as climate protection, sustainability and global food security, were also a key theme. Thus, all the participants highlighted the immense value of personal meetings, but also of in-depth professional discussions, to highlight the solutions offered by the organic system, especially in the current global circumstances.

The next edition of BIOFACH and VIVANESS will take place from February 14 to 17, 2023 at the Nuremberg fairgrounds. There the opportunities and risks will be explored in the context of the key question: “Organic farming, climate protection and health: What is the connection between healthy soil and healthy people?”. The thematic focus of the congress will be jointly developed by IFOAM – Organics International, BÖLW (German Federation of Organic Food Producers) and BIOFACH.

OIA will be present at the next edition of Biofach America, Expo East 2022 from September 28 to October 1 in Philadelphia, United States.
