The Municipality of Sáenz Peña through the Secretariat of Local Development, presented at a press conference what will be the 1st Central Chaco Beekeeping Day, to be held next Saturday, July 16 at the Municipal Cultural Center. On this occasion, there will be product sales and multiple exhibitions.

“This activity has to do with local development, we will carry it out jointly with important institutions such as the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) and the National University of Chaco Austral (UNCAUS), looking for productive alternatives, thinking about a reconversion and our small and medium producers”, affirmed the Secretary of Local Development, Oscar Dudik.

The grid of activities that will take place during the 1st Centrochaqueña beekeeping day foresees accreditation at 9 am; and at 9:30 the opening and presentation of the conference.

At 10 the theme will be addressed: Integrated management of the hive and sanitary recommendations (PEC) (Tec. Daniel Codutti – Rural Change); and at 11 a.m.: News on the national and international honey market – Lucas Andersen (Mieles del Chaco).

At 12 noon, the practical experiences of a producer in the beekeeping activity (Carlos Maurino) (COPASS) will be shared, and at 12:30 there will be a break with a fellowship lunch.

The activities will return at 2:30 p.m., with the presentation on Honey production in small producers by Paulo Mijalec from the Uncaus Zootechnical Engineering Career.

At 3:00 p.m., the theme will be Analysis of honey by Cristina Salgado (UNNE); and at 4:00 p.m. it will be the turn of the presentation on Production of organic honey by Pedro Landa.

In the afternoon, at 6:00 p.m., Federico Petera, a journalist specializing in beekeeping, will speak on the subject and at 7:00 p.m. there will be honey tastings, a tour of the exhibition, and live music.
