GOTS is an organic international standard for the processing of textile products made with organic fibres. It defines high level requirements along the supply chain, from the processing of the fiber, the labeling until the commercialization, with an environmental and socially responsible approach.
The growth of organic fibre consumption and the demand of unified criteria for industrial processes and the retail stage encouraged international standard entities to develop GOTS certification as a trustworthy guarantee for consumers.
OIA has been accredited for the inspection and certification of textile processing, manufacturing, finishing and retailing.
